eye teeth, the new techno sub-label of interdimensional transmissions, launches with an ep from israel vines. the label say: we started this sublabel as way of exploring pure and experimental techno in an entirely contemporary context (where it often uses historical lenses and a wider musical context). this is techno from detroit and america, not detroit techno. we would like to see american techno evolve, and this new imprint is an attempt to be a catalyst in that arena.

initially alfonso muskedunder was just the nickname for my newborn son alf, but the character soon started leading it s own life. interpreted for this single by a bunch of good people, such as deetron (jazzy-ish housey-ish), bullion (main vocal funky latin house mix... or not. it s vocal though), mungolian jetset (acid mambo deep in the forest, quattro formaggio pizza style) and the mysterious tangoterje (dub mambo especial), the icing on the cake finally came in the form of a fully animated music video courtesy of bendik kaltenborn and espen friberg. kind of tricky to explain exactly what goes on in that one, guess you have to see for yourself...

midgar is proud to introduce a newcomer for the third release. a great debut for the maltese cloned, delivering not less than 4 cuts with sapphire 1990 e.p. the record, way more straightforward and groove centered than the previous midgar outputs, opens with sapphire 1990, track that sounds like very nostalgic memories from a timeless rave. thanks to a genuine simplicity and the great arrangement of its elements, this first cut has the perfect characteristics to become a dancefloor anthem. on the same side, a live out-take from cloned�s repertory, the pendulum swinging synth-lines which dominate pretty direct rhythmics filled with hi-hats and claps over a costant background noise. belgassem as the first cut on the b side, is an absolutely heavy one for the label�s standards, made of deep kickin� drums and haunting voices empowered by a really strong and obsessive acid-line. closing the vinyl, the slow (and again really acidic) submerging is like a lysergic vessel headed to more comfortable dimensions, where groovy drums are embraced by very bright heavenly pads. sudden death is instead a chilled-out broken beat interrupted by confused speeches and detroitish pads, resulting as a modern ritual of ascension towards higher spheres. corel drives the release to the end, recalling most of its main features: a restless run through misty soundscapes along a path studded of bells and overwhelming, sharp hi-hats.

taking a few steps off it�s usual housy path, metereze presents a fresh new face and a more techno approach to dance music. it is melodie that signs the 4th installment and he is taking it deep into the realms of acid with 3 tracks that not only go well together but they are all meant to make you move in a big way.
acid sunday is as acidic as the name suggests it but in the end it�s the most poetic of the 3. the subtle pads are kinda dreamy but the 303 sounds make it super driving. on the same side we have rhythmico which is dark, percussive and powerful. subtle background bleeps complete the wandering synth that comes and goes but never really seems to go away.
housed on side b justa is a techno monster in its own right. sonically very close to the other two, this is by far the darkest track on this ep. and probably the strongest. techno infused house you may call it or whatever, this is the kind of track that puts you on a serious move whenever, wherever.

limited nice price blow out ... disconet was created as subscription program service, which professionally selected and mixed disco music for discotheque djs, mobile discos and radio stations. disconet is called as the granddaddy of all remix services and provided mixed/segued dj dance sets, not only to make the djs job a little bit easier, but to expose club goers to new music. the djs spinning at the height of the disco era were given access to a new creative tool - a different interpretation of current dance tunes to wow club goers. originally, the disconet records were to be issued on a monthly basis which were limited to 1000 - 1500 copies of each volume. the first disconet record was released in october 1977. disconet team at that time was: tom savarese, bobby dj guttadaro and kevin guilmet as well as mike wilkinson. tom, bobby and kevin were dj legends, who had already been awarded with the dj of the year title by billboard. these greatest hits volumes contain their finest work, the original licensed disco edits of all the floor fillers of the time that have been re issued for your listening pleasure. expect many more volumes in the near future.

a quest for form which is never static and accompanied by two constants - repetition and reduction. reduction requires repetition in order to make the intangible tangible for man. this repetition also stimulates our perception and helps us find an inner self while illuminating towards the primal thought. another synonym for *intangible* is *not human* - for the most reductive of primal thoughts, sprung from fractal chance, does not deal with human beings but with a formal language that is universal, drawing from the innermost, and only becomes tangible in accidental, fortuitous moments.

after a series of prized splits and collaborations, m_rec ltd s own max_m returns with dissertation , his latest fully-fleshed solo effort. the kidnapper bell was his last ep for m_rec ltd. the avid vinyl lover and collector has since put his -maximalist- values to work sharing wax with the likes of fabrizio lapiana of attic music, as well as with newcomers wrong assessment. not one to rush things, dissertation then comes at a peak time for max_m and m_rec ltd, representing the culmination of a ceaseless dedication to the type of stolid, hypnotic brand of techno intrinsic to both chief and label.

hotel victoria is the debut ep from two talented editors from poland, holiday 80. holiday 80 inherited a massive collection of wax at a very early age, inciting a deep and lifelong respect for vinyl and the dark grooves. this instilled a profound love not-to-be-contained by a single genre. each song on this palette reflects that diversity and spectrum. from the smooth intro on kto da&#322, nam deszcz with its easy groove to the boogie-blaze of bez tego i owego. the rolling synth bass and sizzling strings of zabawa w stylu folk are at once dark and light in a tense contrast. as comfortable on the b2 as in the basement, we hear the acidic melodies of teleniedziela.

convertion / let s do it was originally released on sam records in 1980. it featured the lead vocals of leroy burgess, who was also the lead vocalist for seminal disco tunes like black ivory / main line and logg / i know you will. the sam records catalogue is currently administered by nervous records. nervous has a long standing relationship with superstar producer louie vega, who with his maw partner kenny dope has produced some of nervous most memorable tunes, including the signature nervous release -the nervous track- by nuyorican soul. louie as always a fan of let s do it and wanted to do a remix. unfortunately the original parts were lost. not to be deterred, louie decided to reproduce the record, once again with lead vocals by leroy burgess. the result....let s do it - a louie vega interpration. b-side boogie mix stays close to the original version. the a side dance ritual mix includes that magic louie vega flavor that will make it an immediate essential item for all dj s. the 12- release will be available two months prior to the digital release

black vinyl edition ... beat a track that already is a hit? nearly impossible ? but not for noir music. they just took superfunk s lucky star and dropped it into a damn hot new edition for 2012. thanks again to solomun (diynamic, supernature) for another brilliant remix work. kolombo takes it back to the oldschool days with a deep work and a real 303 acid edit. overall a superb must-have package.

james freud is not the deceased singer of the australian new wave band the models. james freud is not a young art-school dropout with an affinity for electronic music. james freud does not live in berlin - he seems to come out of the blue and it is hard to say whether his production is analogue or digital, whether it is sampled material or sound design. because of the strange maturity of his work the tracks seem to come from both the past and the future. thanks to the digging-qualities of dj good news (who runs the hamburg poem-label) a selection of james freuds oeuvre is now brought to light through the 12inch 5-track extended play - to cut a long story short: mental futurism is wise optimism.

archive records for its 15th years anniversary decided to celebrate properly with a compilation entitled the crystal collection. it displays some of the works from the label and its artists that go mostly from 1999 to 2004. not necessarily the most popular tracks from the catalogue, but a selection we strongly believe has to be heard in 2015!

on the remix duties are: mallorcas techno ambassador angel costa, who has released on some of the most prestigious labels of the techno scene such as clr, electric deluxe, micro.fon. the german michael schwarz, whose unique driving-techno materials came out on driving forces, wall music, praxxiz and at last but not least blind spots very own dr hoffmann & gabeen. the duo is infecting the techno scene slowly with their lethal sounds.
the scattered ep is not for the faint-hearted, serious underground techno beats on it.

man of mystery, a sagittariun, may not be the first, nor the last, in a long lineage of techno producers to go undercover and under a veil of anonymity, but the west country artist doesnt use this cloak to stir up any hype, quite simply the music does the talking, and since 2011, has released a breath taking selection of music on his own elastic dreams label. and so the archer lands on hypeltd after only one other foray onto labels other than his own (2014s lost cities ep for secretsundaze).

label boss dodi palese is back on what ever not with a brand new chemtrails ep of 6 tracks including remixes from d�marc cantu (crème organization, m>o>s) & rising techno italian artist chevel (enklav, non series, stroboscopic artefacts). title track results as a sick combination of well randomized drum patterns, synths and abstract layers turned into a bouncing house interpretation by the mighty d�marc cantu. the electric shocks of dodis machines go all the way through �storm� delivering a monster dub track which got also treatment by the eclectic and talented chevel, check his slow tempo doped beats to see what we are talking about. two additional luscious bonus tracks, barium and aluminum, complete the package. dodi palese brings the chemtrail conspiracy theory to the music dimension!

bror is a conceptual vinyl-only label based on the swedish west-coast in the city of gothenburg. the label is run by martin nowakowski and the output is centered around swedish producers, with a focus, albeit not an exclusive one, on west-coast based individuals. bror is a house and techno record label.

this release shows two of the most important spanish talents of techno: kwartz and hector oaks. not too many words to say, but certainly enough to listen.
